Looking for information on "Buckingham Terrace" Unstone
Hi
I am researching my family history and it appears my Grandfather lived
in Unstone in the 1911 census, his name was Harry Morley, and his wife
was Annie. he also had a son named Stanley, aged 3 on the census. He
must have moved to Grantham in Lincolnshire some time before 1914 as he
joined the army then and was killed in 1914.
He lived in
Buckingham Terrace. I have recently been to Unstone but could find no
trace, even at the post office no one had heard of it. I know there was
a Buckingham Terrace in Dronfield, nicknamed the "cammel" I think, but
I am sure this was not the one.
Maybe the terrace is not there now as it was a long time ago.
He worked as a Goods porter, on the railway, which could have been nearby.
Thanks for reading this, any help would be most welcome.
regards Colin Roberts
