Unstone sewers
I am sure that I am not the only one to suffer because of Yorkshire Water's inability to deal with sewerage disposal during heavy rainfalls. If anyone else in the locality can give me details of any occurrences of sewerage overflowing onto their properties, please let me know. The local MP is interested too.
Re: Unstone sewers
Last Wednesday, 10th June, and again today, 15th, the manhole cover right outside our back door was lifted by sewerage surcharging, pumping raw untreated sewerage onto our drive, on to the lawn, and eventually into the stream running through Birch Hall golf course and into the River Drone at Sheepbridge. Todays incident followed only about 10 minutes of rainfall. It was only this afternoon when Drain Aid came to clear up after last weeks surcharge! The people on the switchboards are superb, really apolgetic, and must receive a lot of flak. It is a pity that the bosses on hundreds of thousands of pounds a year salaries don't get to man the switchboards!
