Hi there.

im moving house and have a few scrap items, ie. Washing Machine, Cooker, fridge, 2 freezers, bike frames and other metal stuff.

Is there a local scrap merchant that would pick these up ?

there must be quite a bit of value in the metal and i cant be bothered to take the stuff to the scrap yard myself as i dont have the time.

any help gratefully accepted.

P.s dont suggest the council, they want £10 per item to collect it AND then they would no doubt sell it for £100.

many thanks for your replies

There is a scrap man that drives round most days, however they will not take fridge or freezers. Try leaving them on the drive I'm sure they will dissappear

Please remember that fridges and freezers must be disposed of through a registered recycling facility.
This is because the gas contained within the heat exchanger has to be recovered in an environmentally safe (and legal) way. Neutral rogerb
