Kids being litterbugs

Driving along Callywhite Lane this morning, two young lads walking towards the football ? pitches, drinking from plastic bottles. One finished his drink and casually lobbed the empty bottle into the grass verge. I stopped and asked him to pick it up and put it in a bin. I asked him if he was proud of his actions, and suggested he might like to tell his parents when he got home of the nosey parker bloke who told him off for littering. Really bugs me.
