Found cat: snape hill area
Please tell me if this is in the wrong forum section...I really don't know
In any case...me and my parents have just recently noticed there is a cat which resides in our garden, it's there on most days till the late hours of the evening she is a girl and we believe she is lost/abandoned and just wanted to know if she has an owner (who may be missing her). We believe she is reasonably old (7 or so).
We ARE feeding the cat because she was very skinny when we first found her and would like to believe if ever one of our cats got lost, they would be fed and taken care of until we could find them, we haven't taken her to a vet as we haven't tried picking her up and we don't want to stress her by putting her in a cramped cage.
There should be an image of the cat in my gallery but I posted it on here just incase . Please excuse the quality as it was taken on my phone.
We don't want to keep this cat 'cause we already have two (Pepsi who is 3 and Sooty who is 1) and Pepsi doesn't get on very well with the new cat and as both our cats are relatively young, the cat probably won't keep up very well with their mischevous activities! If you know anyone who has lost a cat fitting this description which could be missing, please don't hesitate to notify them and if you message me I can give you the contact details.
Note: This cat is very affectionate and vocal which led us to the impression she is lost and not feral, she isn't frightened of people although she can be skittish around newcomers. She has a raspy 'meow' and walks awkwardly on her hind leg.
~ Thanks,
Autumn_leaf
(Please excuse my grammar and punctuation, they aren't my strong point )

Re: Found cat: snape hill area
Please do not patronise me, I am well aware of the fact that a cat will take residence where it is fed, but I don't think it was being fed previously...that's kind of my point on this subject.
Maybe you missed the other paragraphs but like I said, if this is someone's LOST pet I WOULD feed it. It's better for it to be returned alive rather than dead, don't you agree? Plus, if my cat were to get lost I would like to think he'd be taken care of, and not scared off which would only serve to confuse him further as well as make him tired and hungry.
If I suspected it HAD a home it could go to and knew the whereabouts of I would not feed it. That would be taking someone's pet and I don't roll that way. I do not know how fond you are of cats but I happen to LIKE them and would rather help than hinder one, I suspect it's limp prevents it from hunting well and am feeding it out of pity more than stupidity. If we find an owner that's great or if we don't find one, (in which case it's to the Cats Protection) that's just too bad, but at least the poor thing will have a home at last.
Our youngest cat Sooty was left behind when her old owners moved, she was only 3 months at the time and we fed her to keep her safe until we could find an owner. No such luck, however; Mum decided to keep her because she could keep our other cat company whilst we were out. This time we don't want another cat because they don't get on well and we simply cannot afford it. I'm getting off point now but like I said, if you come across a distressed owner with a cat of similar description, don't hesitate to tell me about it.

Haha, thanks I hope we do too! She looks so sad, the poor thing...I suppose I should have been a little more forgiving to Smithy, I'm sure his heart's in the right place .
Thanks for the welcome!
